Bollywood Thrillers: A Few Popular Plot Lines

  • Allah Ke Banday is the story of two young boys aged 12 and 13 who live in one of the most ruthless slums of India (which the world recognizes as ‘Bhool Bhulaiyya’ or a maze – a place where you once enter cannot find your way out). Aspiring to make it big in the mafia world, the boys start delivering drugs and burgling people, only to be wrongly convicted for committing a murder. They are sent to the Juvenile Reformatory where they discover life is more chaotic and tougher in the reformatory than the world they belong to.
  • Aakrosh is a hard-hitter on the honor killings based on a newspaper article that appeared in the Times of India in 1995. The movie also reveals the reality behind a love story that is an outcome of barriers of caste.
  • Prince webs around a tech-savvy thief who is on a pursuit to get back his lost memory and a heist. On the road to discovery he finds out that he is named Prince and that he is under the hunt of the secret service of India-I Grip, the CBI and the dreaded dons of the underworld equally.
  • Right Yaaa Wrong centers around the murder of the wife (played by Isha Koppikar) of a brave heart and honest Mumbai cop Ajay Singh (Sunny Deol). Ajay Singh’s closest friend and colleague Vinay Pathak is handed over the responsibility to investigate the murder. With the needle of suspicion pointing towards all and sundry, including Ajay Singh and the investigating officer Vinay himself, the movie takes exciting twists and turns that provide lots of thrills.
  • Gulaal is the story of two Rajputs, Dukey Banna (Kay Kay Menon) and Dileep Singh (Raj Singh Choudhary), pitted against each other. Dukey Banna is an unscrupulous former ruler who wants to reclaim the lost Rajput glory with a separate state, while the gullible Raj Singh Choudhary is a juvenile college student.
